The Atlanta Chapter will be cleaning up the Powers Island to Paces Mill unit of the Chattahoochee River for the “Sweep The Hooch” event on April 14, 2012.  The National Park Service is providing 8 canoes on a first come-first serve basis to chapter members.

UPDATE: Registration closes Friday 4/13 at 10am. This is a paddle event only. You must register as described below. No walk ups are allowed. Paddlers must be 8 or older for a tandem. 15 years old for solo boats. You can bring your own boats or SUP but no inflatables.

IMPORTANT:

1. You MUST register on the UC Riverkeeper website. These spots will fill up FAST. The registration site is here: http://www.ucriverkeeper.org/sweep-the-hooch.php.

2. List “Surfrider Foundation Atlanta Chapter” as your team. Preference will be given to Surfrider members first so join HERE  for a $25 annual membership if you want to secure your spot.

3. Select the “Powers Island to Paces Mill” option.

4. Use the Surfrider Contact page to let us know you registered.
